Everyone’s Chrome

IMHO, Chrome isn’t any better apart from UI tweaks & V8 JS engine. Separate process per tab is a part of IE8 too. But the total memory used is real BIG. V8 is opensource, if Mozilla wants it, they can pick it. Infact, Firefox 3.1 has a better JS engine than the V8.

    Chrome is good but still I go with firefox 3( and i am typing this from IE 7 :D )
  • I'm also waiting for upgrade to the TraceMonkey rendering engine. Weather tracemonkey is better of V8 ,needs to be seen.Lets not conclude on that yet.

    What remains to be seen is if Google manages to lure users use C* as their desktop as some pundits predict. IMHO, iGoogle was on similar lines but never caught up. I still like my apps on my PC .

    Unless you are a JS Junkie, you'll not realize the speed diff btw FF & Chrome.

    How abt apps that masquerade as native, but does HTTP GETs in the background? :) You'll never know, until your network connection gets snapped.
