Yes,there are other options which are still frowned upon in our country . But,if you want to be amongst the first ones to do it ,there is no one stopping you but yourself.Its all a matter of not buckling under societal pressure and emotional blackmail,which btw is really hard :-)

...but you are trying to prove Love is a bacterium by justifying why Love is not a virus and prove marriage is Hell by justifying why marriage is not Heaven...and that line of argument doesn't fit.
Let's say a guy picks a flower from the temple and throws it into the gutter. Does that mean the flower never came from the temple? That's how marriages are. A marriage is made in heaven, meaning to be good, but just cos we people can't handle it right and make it bad doesn't mean it wasn't from Heaven. Remember the adage, 'a bad workman blames his tools'? that's exatcly what you're doing when you say 'marriage is hell'
