:) true thrattle. the concept is old. but when intelligent people powering with different implementation it becomes more popular and easy. :)

i remember couple of years back samsung to launch a simple home automation system and kind of failed. there is some thing called sling box which does this. like ur can connect all ur TV, VCR , relay system to sling box and that is connected to internet. any where in the world through VNC or VPN u can control ur home appliances .. these are just theory knowledge .. etho namma area illa inga thalai.. :)

Its been many days since April 1! :) But its been slashdotted that there was a company, for real, in the 80s/90s doing this sort connectivity.

This is like "Riding a Bicycle" other than for working-out would be a foolish act in the years to come. :)
